Was reading a blog recently and the author was very angry with her primary care physician. She said he did not listen to her ... he stared at the computer monitor, never engaged with her or asked her about her life's difficulties. He suggested she visit this clinic and that clinic but never asked if it was possible for her to do this.
Is this what primary care has become? Is there another way that individual stories of illness and brokenness can be listened to and heeded?
